*5th and 6th Grade Music Subsidy Program for La Jolla Country Day School

In collaboration with Bing's Cellos & Strings, the LJCDS Middle School instrumental music program offers a subsidy for stringed instruments for all 5th and 6th graders. The subsidy allots $425 towards the cost of an instrument. Our instruments will also be delivered directly to the school. This allows for students to keep their instruments for the entire year at a significantly discounted price to the family.

Please note: it is important that families who take advantage of this subsidy consider investing in private lessons to support the learning process. Without proper training, students may develop bad habits which will also be difficult to then later correct. Improper playing technique could also lead to physical injuries.

To rent, simply scroll to the bottom of the page to download your rental form. You will be charged upfront for the entire amount of the instrument rental, and we will then provide a receipt to be turned in to the school for a $425 reimbursement.

Pickup and delivery to school can be arranged at no extra cost according to customer's preference. Please contact us to arrange.

RENTALS

We are proud to provide instruments made from finer quality materials in comparison to most available student-level rentals. This enables a nicer quality of sound, and for instruments to better handle seasonal and climate changes, which results in less time spent getting the instrument in tune. Since learning a stringed instrument can already be challenging, instruments that require less overall maintenance will allow for both students and teachers to maximize their music learning experience.
